If you have been to Yogyakarta or have looked for the top things to do in Yogyakarta on Google, there is a chance that you know Ullen Sentalu Museum. Or, at least, you’ve heard of it. It was the case for me too, but only until recently that I found out about the museum.
And I’d been dying to go there.
The Ullen Sentalu Museum is an arts and culture museum located on the triangulation foothills of Mount Turgo, Mount Merapi, and Mount Plawangan. It sits on a vast area (around 1.2 hectare) that is called nDalem Kaswargan, which translates to “the Paradise House”. With its green, preserved areas, the huge collection of the Javanese arts and culture, the facilities and great services, no wonder Ullen Sentalu Museum was chosen as the best museum in Indonesia by TripAdvisor.
Hello! 안녕하세요! I am Tyas, a 20-year-old hobbyist writer and illustrator from Indonesia. I am currently in my Junior year of college, majoring in Industrial Engineering. Studying about systems engineering and management is fun, but I like to take the chance to write and draw in my free time. Traveling has always been a fascinating experience for me and I’d like to share it with everyone here on my blog! I joined a student exchange program in Dankook University, South Korea in 2018, and I wrote a lot about my trips there. I’m currently in Indonesia and I hope to explore more of my country and write about it here to introduce the beauty of the tourist destinations of Indonesia! I will also post a lot about my thoughts and lifestyle blog posts. Or I might sometimes post about my journey in learning Korean and some of my drawings. Expect a lot of it!^^
